How To Or Is It Hard To Get Into An Environmental Consulting Firm?

I just graduated in June 2008 with a degree in environmental science and geography from UCLA.
I get an entry level position in any environmental consulting firm, but I am no GIS background.
You wonder if there is a job agent can help me. . . . . .
What other options that work for consulting firms ENVI / government / education?

    it will be hard because most consults are semi- retired folks with worlds of experience — best bet is start our with a large engineering firm like brown and root and get some background experience!!!
